In Black Ops 6, something old is making a comeback, kind of like a blast from the past.
Activision is bringing back the idea of the Last Stand perk with a twist by introducing the Morphine Injector. Once you hit level 44, you can use this tool to briefly enter a “Last Stand state,” where if you take a hit that would normally knock you out, you can either be saved by a friend or get back up by taking out an enemy. Field upgrades in Call of Duty are special gadgets you earn during matches, and they let you either attack or defend better depending on how well you’re playing.
Last Stand first appeared way back in 2007 in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and stuck around until Call of Duty: WWII.
Other cool upgrades in Black Ops 6 include War Cry, which makes your team faster and helps them heal; Tactical Insertion, which lets you pick where to pop back into the game; Acoustic Amp, for hearing enemies sneaking around; and Neurogas, which confuses enemies with a weird gas. People are pretty excited about these new abilities.
Fans often enjoy discovering new features and seeing old ones return in fresh ways.
