Call of Duty Black Ops 6: Mastery Camos Unlock Guide

-

Black Ops 6 is here, bringing with it a fresh batch of mastery camos for players to unlock across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

Unlocking these camos involves completing challenges across three categories: Military, Special, and Mastery. To get started, you must first earn Military and Special camos, which is thankfully easier this time around. Unlike previous games, where weapon levels were tied to camo challenges, Black Ops 6 lets you dive straight into Military camos without any level restrictions.

Warzone players, heads up! Your camo grind kicks off once Black Ops 6 is part of the battle royale in Season 1.

The path to these colorful camos begins with Military camos. Each gun has nine different ones, unlocked by achieving milestones in each mode: headshots in multiplayer, critical kills in Zombies, and eliminations in Warzone. But remember, you need to unlock these camos separately for each weapon. Once you’ve completed Military camos for a weapon, you’re ready to tackle the Special camos.

When it comes to Special camos, they open up after completing all Military challenges for a weapon. Each gun gets two unique camos per mode, and these can be unlocked in any sequence. However, they require specific achievements based on your playstyle and the weapon’s strengths.

Fans think this new system makes the game more exciting.

Finally, the Mastery camos await those who have conquered both Military and Special camos for their weapons. Each mode has its own set of four Mastery camos, and like before, they must be unlocked individually for each weapon. You can focus on your favorite mode or mix it up across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

Here’s a quick glance at some of the Mastery camos:

  • Gold Camo: Unlocked by completing unique challenges for each weapon after finishing Military and Special challenges.
  • Diamond: Requires completing all Gold challenges for weapons in the same class.
  • Dark Spine: An animated camo that needs Diamond camos for every weapon.
  • Dark Matter: The ultimate reward, needing Dark Spine camos for 33 weapons.

For Zombies fans, similar steps apply with Mystic Gold, Opal, Afterlife, and Nebula camos. In Warzone, players will aim for Gold Tiger, King’s Ransom, Catalyst, and Abyss camos, each needing specific challenges to complete.

Remember, more weapons will join the fray over time, but the number of camos needed won’t change. If a weapon’s not your cup of tea, perhaps a new DLC one will suit you better.

Black Ops 6 launches on October 25 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
