This year, CD Projekt Red gave us REDkit, a modding tool for The Witcher 3, and now the game has a stunning visual upgrade that might even outshine its 2022 next-gen update.
The modder Halk Hogan dropped The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project: Next Gen Edition, promising to elevate the game’s graphics to a new pinnacle, making it a genuine next-gen marvel. To prove it, Halk Hogan shared a 15-minute YouTube video comparing the old and new visuals side by side.
You can find the HD Reworked Project on NexusMods, where it’s described as being crafted with extreme care to enhance every detail, making the game feel more real, detailed, and true to the gritty world of The Witcher.
Sometimes, fans just can’t wait for the next big thing.
In other news, CD Projekt Red shared in their earnings report that The Witcher 4 is now officially being developed, along with a mysterious teaser image. While this new installment is still years away, Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill as Geralt in The Witcher Season 4 on Netflix, which is set for a 2025 release. But if you’re eager for more Witcher content sooner, keep an eye out for the anime, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, landing on February 11, 2025.
